INVITATION TO JOIN THE PROPOSED CYBER-COMMUNE
We acknowledge Brahma as our Creator, and we should emphasise the
fact that the Creator is unknowable, inscrutable, infinite, eternal,
amorphous, ubiquitous, ineffable, and without analogy.
The corollary is that the New-Age Brahmins reject the idea of a
solitary anthropomorphic God. Such a notion will spawn a myriad
of insurmountable perplexities and conundrums.
It is my desire to establish a CYBER-COMMUNE with Members that
will exist under the moniker of the New-Age Brahmins.
We will subscribe to the philosophy that a modicum of Brahma
exists within the soul of every living organism, and that a
"Reverence for Life" will therefore be mandatory.
A dot on the forehead, between the eyes and just above the root
of the nose will signify our awareness of the presence of
Brahma within ourselves, and it will be a constant reminder that
we must remain ever-mindful of the need to avoid malice and
evil.
The New-Ager will greet every other person with clasped hands in
acknowledgement of the presence of Brahma within that individual.
Furthermore the New-Age Brahmin will understand that humans are
merely one of the very many factors that constitute the cosmic
equation.
The corollary is that we must exist in harmony with the flora and
fauna.
Everyone is eligible to strive for the status of New-Age Brahmanism
regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religious moniker.

In the final analysis the following observations and comments constitute the personal opinion of the President of the Cyber-Temple.
The President readily admits to being fallible and he therefore graciously accepts the fact that he is incapable of complete dispassion.
No living human is ever totally devoid of emotional and cultural investment.
Since the absolute Truth is never possible in most matters, certain comments will inevitably be hurtful to some and a source of malignant pleasure to others.
You should feel free to reject whatever you feel is untenable, but you should be bold enough to face the facts and to tolerate logic even when these are foreign to your established and cherished ideation's.
Remember, even the Romans were bold enough to say: "Magna est veritas et prevailabit" which means "The Truth is great and it should be allowed to prevail".
SO, ARM YOURSELF WITH AUDACITY AND LET BOLDNESS BE YOUR FRIEND.
Emancipate yourself ........and try to concatenate the various time-honoured philosophies.
THROW OUT A LIFELINE AND SAVE HINDUISM AND THE OTHER ANCIENT WISDOMS FROM DISUSE ATROPHY.
BE THE GRIT IN THE OYSTER AND LET THE PEARLS APPEAR.
Let us consider the story of Christ converting Water into Wine, feeding an entire population with a few fish, and healing the Leper.
If he had left us with the formulae we would have been able to feed the masses, and to heal the sick and thus prevent untold misery., Now those "miracles" amount to nothing more than parlour tricks.
The Truth is that Life is like a ship.
It starts off with Genetic Contributions which are comparable to the submissions of the Naval Architect.
Then there is the Gestational Period which is comparable to the circumstances that prevail, as well as the skill of the craftsmen that are operative within the Shipyard.
The social circumstances of the parents will determine the quantity and the quality of the available Building Materials as well as the quality of care and attention and pride that are invested in the venture.
The product and the fate of an unplanned and un-welcomed pregnancy in an un-wed drug addict will differ vastly from that of its counterpart who is destined to inherit a secure throne.
The trajectory of Life, the experiences, and the duration of Life are to a great extent predictable but subject to upheavals that are beyond the control of mortals.......such as earthquakes, pestilence, and civil uprisings.
This is much like the ship that will either serve as cargo freighter or as a luxurious mega-yacht. In any event and realistically, it will be expected to be able to navigate the various archipelagos and to eventually end up on the rocks or in a Ship-breakers yard.
The material substance will ultimately be recycled.
Tradition is the great flywheel of Society, and Religion constitutes the substrate of the culture.
Rituals, ceremonies, and rote learning of prayers and hymns are part of every spiritual tapestry.
It is important to understand that Religion has served Society very well, and that it would have been difficult to maintain Law and Order without it...........especially when the masses were unenlightened and superstitious.
It is also important to realize that every extant religion was formulated several centuries ago and that society expects modern and educated people to tolerate the intellectual blind spots so that they can accommodate the anachronisms and absurdities.
It is also common knowledge that religion is successfully used as a social cosmetic by such rascals as who choose to posture as saintly and honourable paragons. Yet the vast majority of any congregation are simple, sincere, and devout.
In every congregation the ambient religion will be found to be an integral part of the Pride, the Loyalty and the Allegiance of its members.
In the final analysis every religion will be found to be quite preposterous........ Indeed, so infantile that it can only survive if it is indoctrinated from infancy and maintained by cognitive disconsonance.
Cognitive disconsonance in this instance means that any statement that is obviously untrue or impossible will be accepted as Fact simply in order to save the religion and allow it to be passed on to the next generation for the benefit of the culture.
Any belief system that is etched into the mind within the first formative years of life will become integrated into the Ego.
And it will be defended regardless of any subsequent scientific education.
In our quest for Truth we must not indulge in blasphemy and we must avoid gratuitous sacrilege.
Yet we must not hesitate to confront the Truth.
Although comparisons are usually odious we must not hesitate to reject what is patently absurd in our own heritage. And we should adopt whatever is praiseworthy in other alien cultures.
Faith is like a Wishbone. It is fraught with Hope and it has acquired time-honoured respectability. Yet it belongs to the realm of Superstition.
Religion is also akin to a psychotropic drug in that it can induce delusional ideas and even lead to criminal activity based upon oxymoronic scenarios.
By way of example the Sacred Commandments which are never expected to be challenged yet they are transgressed on a regular basis.
For instance, Murder is absolutely forbidden and Pardoning is highly recommended, yet the passionate fundamentalist is known to amputate the hand of the thief, stone the adulteress to death, and behead the blind-folded "infidel", and to deny education and freedoms to young girls.
The story of the Immaculate Conception is frankly pornographic and it casts a broad swathe of aspersions.
Frankly it depicts the anthropomorphic god as a furtive rapist.
And it depicts Joseph as the cuckolded "significant other".
It also implies that Mary was a virgin..... which places the virility and masculinity of Joseph in question.
The story also indicates that God treated Mary in the same manner as the modern rancher treats his cows by virtue of artificial insemination.
But the crowning affront to the Creator is achieved by the story of God failing to respond to his only child when Jesus appeals to him for intervention as he hangs on the Cross with his mortal wounds.
Philosophy on the other hand can never be introduced to the newborn. Only the mature the educated adult can benefit from the plethora of profound thoughts and ideas. In this way the student of Philosophy can acquire a real Backbone because every great philosophy is based upon Commonsense, Logic and Experience.
And all of these can be discussed without rancour or compunction. And there is no need for monopolizing the Truth.
Philosophers can also countenance paradox and ambiguity as and when circumstances warrant. An example are such axioms as "Look before you leap" and "He who hesitates is lost".
Uneducated folk who claim to be Hindus and Buddhists but who are not au fait with the religious tomes have resolved to justify their moniker as Hindu or Buddhist by virtue of Ritual, Ceremony, and Idol Worship.
The behavior of all life-forms is predicated upon the motivations of Sexuality, Self-preservation, and the dictates of Society.
The Sex Drive is a loud call and a clear call and it can never be denied.
Consensual sex is seldom completely isolated from Love. And it is never sinful, although it may be unlawful and anti-social.
Celibacy can never be sustained .... although abstinence may result from lack of opportunity.
The majority of humans are heterosexual, but almost twenty-percent are bisexual, homosexual, pedophilic, transvestite, or otherwise deviant.
Quite unaccountably the Homosexual community has always exhibited a disproportionate amount of Talent, such as evidenced by Oscar Wilde, Tchaikovski, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michael Angelo and many thousands of Monks and Priests.
Throughout history the Conquerors have used religion as a cosmetic and as a pretext.
The duty of the High Priest was to delineate the subjugated population as primitive Hell-bound heathens who require salvation,
In this way the Rampaging, the notion of Racial Inferiority, and the Slave Trade were made to appear as the vanguard to Enlightenment. And the exploitation was then presented as an unavoidable, forgivable, and necessary evils.
The Romans, the Christians and the Islamic's have successfully used religion to justify Slavery and the exploitation of foreigners.
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are virtually identical.
Indeed these three factions are merely isotopes of the same basic Abrahamic theme.
Their wars have been tantamount to Shadow Boxing.
And their conflicts have always been driven by cravings for Market Share, material and Territorial expansion.
Each of the three factions subscribes to Monotheism, but the concept of ONE God has placed them on the horns of a dilemma.
Whilst the three factions concur that God is anthropomorphic and of Male gender, the formulation of monotheism has created a Gordian Knot.
If there is but ONE god, the obvious question must be: "Whose god is it?"
It is definitely NOT the same god as is venerated by the other two factions.
There is consensus about the hallowedness of Jerusalem, yet each faction claims a monopoly of that City and strives to prevent the other two factions from arranging pilgrimages to the site.
The essence of these three Religions is basically the list of Instructions that are referred to as the Ten Commandments, with Rewards for those who comply and Penalties for those who disobey.
The list of Commandments is basically the same in all three instances.
Indeed, these three factions are so alike that they are like Doppelganger's and their wars have been akin to Shadow Boxing.
The cardinal flaw in these three religions is that they demonize human sexual intercourse yet insist that fecundity is a blessing.
It is common knowledge that Passion can be so intense as to override simple logic.
By way of example the Crucifix is an inappropriate religious symbol for those who venerate Jesus because it symbolizes the Triumph of his enemies .
It also represents cowardice with ruthlessness and it heralds a painful slow death.
The Klu Klux Klan is thus the only group that uses the Crucifix appropriately.
Over a period of several centuries more than eight High Priests have been murdered whilst conducting Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
They were killed by various other Priests who promoted different and oppositional Christian doctrines.
Several carcasses were concealed in the basement of the Cathedral, and those murders have been memorialized in books such as "Murder in the Cathedral" by T.S.Elliott.
The Kaaba Stone in Mecca is a gigantic meteorite, and every year almost four million worshippers travel great distances to converge upon that location. They do so in order to genuflex and to venerate a simple Stone.
This practice has made the Islamic's the greatest Idol-worshippers of all time.
Many deaths have resulted from Cholera and other diseases. Such infections can be anticipated whenever millions of pilgrims converge at a site that lacks the facilities that are essential for the avoidance of pestilence. Especially when a large proportion of the pilgrims are unaccustomed to modern standards of hygiene.
These deaths are conveniently interpreted as special blessings and are associated with direct access to Heaven.......such casuistry provides a great boost to the bereaved relatives.
Religion has also fragmented human society into many mutually intolerant and hateful segments.
Indeed, fanaticism has driven some zealots to despise and to label everyone else as "Infidels". And to commit unspeakable and egregious crimes....such as the amputation of the hand of any Thief, or the decapitation of strangers in the name of their god, the stoning to death of women who are accused of adultery, and the torching of Temples, Churches, and Synagogues.
Several tomes constitute the literature that is the bedrock of Hinduism. These include such classics as the Mahabharatam, the Sacred Kural, the Thiruvasagam, the Bhagwat Gita, the Upanishads, and the Four different Vedas.
Unfortunately very few individuals are au fait with the entire array of the Hindu literature.
And no single individual who has criticized Hinduism has ever studied any of these tomes.
Hinduism and Buddhism are inseparable.
The cardinal difference is that the Buddhists avoid mentioning the Creator. They insist that :
"The proper study for Mankind is Man, presume therefore not your Maker to scan".
They also encourage Self Awareness:
"Seek the bliss that resides within yourself, and acknowledge the connectedness of all things".
Buddha is always smiling because he was no "kill-joy" . And there are Male and Female Buddhas.
The Hindus also reject the notion of an anthropomorphic god, But they do acknowledge the existence of a Creator.
Their Creator is unknowable, inscrutable, amorphous, infinite, protean, multi-tasking, ineffable, with multiple attributes, ubiquitous, and without analogy.
Although they reject the notion of an anthropomorphic Creator, the Hindus have resorted to a vast array of Deities.
Each Deity is a contrivance that enables ordinary folk to envisage the Creator and its various roles in concrete and anthropomorphic terms.
Each Deity is a playful caricature that represents one specific role, attribute or prowess of the Creator in human terms.
Great effort is made to assure the viewer that the Deity is a playful contrivance whose purpose is to facilitate comprehension of the role of the Creator and with a clear understanding that the entity is not human or real.
Lest the onlooker misinterpret the depictions as of real humans, the Deities are usually presented in stark colours such as Green, Electric Blue, Snow White, Jet Black, and Scarlet Red.
The Head of an Elephant superimposed upon a human torso symbolizes the super-human Memory of the Creator.
The goddess with multiple upper limbs is symbolic of the super-human capabilities of the Creator. It is also indicative of the absence of misogynism in Hinduism.
Arthanareeswarar is the Deity that represents the Homosexual. This Deity is depicted as half Male and half Female and usually carries a musical instrument.
Veneration of Life and the Connectedness of all living matter are notions that are fundamental to the Hindu philosophy.
Deities are therefore usually depicted in the presence of animals and trees or flowers.
The acceptance of every other denizen into the Cosmic Equation is manifest on the streets of India where animals are allowed free passage and are frequently offered food by the pedestrians.
The Creator is known as Brahma whose role is that of Creator.
Vishnu is the alter-ego of Brahma, and whose role is to Protect those who have been created.
Siva is the other alter-ego of Brahma, and whose cosmic role is to schedule the eventual destruction and elimination of whatever has been created.
Once created, Matter cannot be destroyed and New Matter is never created. But Matter can be changed into different forms. Thus depending upon the conditions to which it is subjected, Carbon can be transformed into Coal or Graphite or Diamond and liquid
Water can be transformed into Steam or Snow or Ice.
All creatures are mute instruments in the Great Cosmic Scheme : Every life-form will eventually disappear because of the activity of the predators, the scavengers, the carrion-eaters, and micro-organisms, etc.
The Hindus believe that everything on this planet contains a fragment of the Creator and its alter-egos.
Thus there is Athma in every object, whether living or inanimate.
This is a fragment of the creative aspect of the Creator (Brahma).
And then within the core of everything there is also a tendency to protect. This is reminiscent of Vishnu and it exists even in the most craven psychopath.
Siva the Destroyer is also represented within the core of every creation, so that destruction and elimination are ever-present risks in every situation.
Death is given priority because all life-forms will eventually end up as foods.
The predator, the carrion-eaters, and the scavengers are usually equipped with formidable claws and jaws. They are usually also much smaller, stealthier, and swifter than the herbivores upon which they prey.
The herbivores exist in order to convert vegetable matter into meat. They are designed to reproduce prodigiously in order to secure the food chain. And they are usually killed as a consequence of being out-smarted by the predator.
Hinduism is riddled with symbolism.
The SWASTIKA symbolizes the all-embracing nature of the Creator. That symbol was introduced from Tibet by the famous Madame Helena Blavatsky who reached Lasha more than a century before Adolph Hitler was born.
The word AUM is generally believed to be a primal sound.
When uttered in the traditional manner it is supposed to generate vibrations with a very wide frequency range and is used to symbolize the immense scope of the Creator.
The LINGHAM is a monolith that represents the erect Penis. It is a sacred symbol that relates to human re productivity, and is very much in evidence in those temples where ceremonies are held in the cause of human fertility.
DEATH is serviced by three Deities.
YAMA is the Deity that hovers around the deathbed until he is required to usher the departed soul into the Hereafter.
JUGGERNATH is the Deity that arranges for the traumatic demise of those who are reckless, inattentive, or risk-taking. He is depicted as driving a heavily-crafted four-wheeled wagon at high speed and without due care.
Unfortunate victims are mortally injured or killed outright by the hoofs of the dray horses or crushed under the wagon-wheels.
KALI is the Deity that presides over massive and catastrophic deaths such as occur with Earthquakes, Typhoons, Pestilences, Landslides, and Tsunamis. She is shown mounted upon her stallion. Her necklace is made of skulls and she wear a cloak that has been fashioned out of human skin.
The theory of KARMA is that our punishments and our rewards are self-imposed. The Creator is merely the phlegmatic onlooker whose role is that of the Great Accountant of the Universe.
The overall behavior, thoughts, and actions of the current existence will determine the fate and the destiny of the next incarnation.
The paradigms are subject to considerations of the intellect, the moral standards, and the circumstances of the individual.
This theory offers the possibility of progressive improvement. Or Self-diminishment.
NIRVANA is the phenomenon of Nihilism. The Soul that has become purified to the ultimate degree requires no further purification and is able to escape from the endless process of recycling.
The liberated Soul then re-unites with the Creator. At this stage Athma becomes integrated into Brahma.
This theory implies that EVERY INCARNATION IS AN AUDITION FOR OBLIVION
REINCARNATION is the process of recycling the Soul.
Newborns cannot be introduced to Philosophy, and only the educated Adult can fully appreciate the complexities and the nuances.
The greatest tragedy is that Hinduism and Buddhism have undergone considerable atrophy as a consequence of the dearth of scholarly involvement.
The individuals who are truly well-read and au fait with the sacred tomes that constitute Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism,or Zoroastrianism are distinctly rare phenomena.
